Trackmaster Trains made of plastic and are about 5 inches long, 1.5 inches thick and 2 inches tall. The line is based on characters from the Thomas & Friends stories and videos. They run on brown plastic track. Almost all of the engine are battery powered. These trains are larger than the wooden trains and do NOT work with wooden track.
Trackmaster trains are compatable with the TOMY - TOMICA brand of trains. TOMY no longer makes the TOMICA trains. The track for TOMICA trains was blue plastic and had a different style of connector than the brown track. Many Trackmaster sets have adapters that allow the brown track to connect to the blue track.
